La 77ª edición de los Premios Emmy tuvo lugar este domingo 14 de septiembre en el Peacock Theater de Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos; y como era de esperarse, hubo sorpresas y algunas polémicas en la ceremonia que premió a lo mejor de la TV de Hollywood.
La serie Adolescencia se convirtió en la clara ganadora ya que este drama psicológico que ha sido aclamado como “lo más cercano a la perfección televisiva en décadas”, se llevó seis reconocimientos.
Dentro de las seis estatuillas, está la incluida la que recibió Owen Cooper, que con 15 años de edad, se convirtió en el actor más joven en ganar un Emmy.
Por su parte, Stephen Graham, protagonista y uno de los creadores de esta serie, se llevó dos premios: el de mejor actor principal y de mejor guion para una miniserie o película para TV, este último compartido con Jack Thorne.
La otra gran premiada de la noche fue la miniserie El estudio, que obtuvo cuatro galardones, incluyendo el recibido por Seth Rogen como mejor actor principal para una serie cómica, por primera vez en la historia.
Rogen también se llevó el reconocimiento por mejor dirección y mejor guion de serie cómica, este último compartido con los otros guionistas de la serie: Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory y Frida Perez. Las series The Pitt, Severance y Hacks también recogieron más de un galardón.
